Puzzles leaned against his car, his arms folded, and a triumphant smile on his face. He just finished a race, and won a new car. Very rarely does he race for pink slips. But it was an easy win. The amateur didn't know what he was getting himself into, challenging the mutant. "Hey, boss. You got a new challenge. It's a five car race and the bet is three grand each." One of his lackeys said. "I go always go for some easy money," the teen said, sliding into the driver seat. A turn of the key brought the speeder to life. It hummed as he pulled towards the starting line.
He smirked as he looked at the competition. Pressing the gas, he revved the engine. He pressed the gas, revving the engine. It hissed as the pressure was released. The roar of a muscle car could be heard from the next car over. As they waited for the green light, the crowd behind was cheering. A flash of green light signaled the cars to go, their engines roaring and tires screeching. Dean released the clutch as took off, a cloud of smoke in his wake. Slamming the gear lever from first to second, then to third, the mutant pulled away from the rest, easily taking first place. His engine whirred from the power. But he could hear it, the roar of the muscle car, he wasn't alone. It was right behind him and closing fast.
Nearing the first turn, he slammed down to a lower gear, held the clutch, and pulled the emergency brake. His car turned sideways, drifting around the turn with ease. His tires squealed as they slid against the asphalt, shooting out smoke as he dropped the clutch and hit the gas.
