Physical Appearance: Zach stands at about 6' 2" but he looks like a bulky stick. While he has muscles, they are not chiseled. His short, curly brown hair fits in with his green eyes. Very rarely does he not have a smile on his face. Despite working outside most of the time, he only has a slight tan. Sainmore feels more comfortable wearing his "cowboy" outfit, which consists of a plaid long sleeve shirt, jeans, a cowboy hat and cowboy boots. His combat uniform has the same colors as the typical Xavier's outfit, but he doesn't wear the cowboy hat or the boots.
Personality: Zach loves to make others happy and enjoys seeing others smile. He will even occasionally go out of his way to make someone's day. The teen knows he gets a lot of weird looks when he is walking around the city, but he isn't afraid to be himself. When he talks, while his pronunciation has gotten better, one can still hear a vestige of his western accent. Sainmore loves science and engineering. He loves helping others anyway he can. Unfortunately, he has been known to spread himself a little thin from trying to do so many favors at once. Zachary would rather not fight if he can avoid it, but he isn't afraid to defend himself or others.
During his down-time, if he has any, the boy will typically go out to the shooting range or tend to a personal garden. He also enjoys barbequing, taking any chance he can to make a home-style meal for everybody. Zach also loves to camp. His favorite part of it is getting away from it all and being able to relax. While he fully believes that one should express themselves, he cannot stand someone that degrades someone else; it's his biggest pet peeve.
Personal History: Zach was born out in the country, he was the middle of three children. They lived in a small town western Texas. His mother, Tandy, told him a lot about her life as Dagger and he would listen, trying to picture the scenes in his head. His father tried to be there for him as much as he could, but work would keep him away from home a lot. The boy's father was an engineer for the military, designing, building, and upgrading weapons. Zachary's older brother, Chris, was always into sports, making the MVP list every year. When he entered 5th grade, Elizabeth, Zachary's younger sister, was born. The boy would take care of her a lot of the time, helping his mother out as much as he could. The boy would often cook dinner and other meals for the family. During the summer time, he would usually grill or barbeque. His family would also go to the shooting range as a family activity. Besides his brother, he had the best shot.
Not long afterwards, his powers began to manifest. At first, it scared him, not knowing how to control them. But Tandy would help him, showing him how to focus on mastering them. Overtime, he learned how to use them and how to prevent sudden outbursts.
When he went into junior high, Zach decided that, instead of joining the football or basketball team, he would go into gymnastics and cheerleading. While his older brother would tease him from time to time, he supported Zach's decision, and even skipped a couple of practices to watch his younger brother perform. If anybody harassed Zach about it, his brother would step in to defend him. Because of his high grades in math and science, the boy's teachers recommended him enrolling in an engineering and robotics class.
When he wasn't in school, the teen would work on the family farm, mainly attending to the horses and cattle. He would also work on the tractors and equipment, helping to keep them running smoothly. Sainmore's horse, Brass Handles, was a larger breed of equine. Being a Morgan, Brass Handles loved to haul and work. One day, while working, Zach was approached by two men. They talked to both him and Tandy about taking Zach to the institute for mutants. Mrs. Sainmore and her son both agreed that it would be beneficial for Zach to go. As a going away present, his father purchased a new truck for him to drive.
Life at the new school was a little difficult to begin with. Some of the other students would tease him about the way he dressed and his accent. But overtime, the harassment slowed to a stop. He even became good friends with some of his former bullies. Outside the school, he started his own little garden, growing a couple of plants, mostly tomatoes and vegetables. He keeps the small garden in a moveable garden cart inside his room.

Superhuman Powers: Light Generation| Zach can generate beams, bombs, armor, and side-arm blades out of light that he has stored in his body. If there is enough light around him, instead of tapping in his reserves, Zach is able to use the surrounding light as a source. However, the light can be deflected by anything shiny such as a mirror or polished metal. While his blasts can be a concussive force, if he focuses it, the light can generate heat of up to 3.6 million degrees.
-Beams| by using either his arms or legs as a control point, he can generate a beam of light several feet wide, but only about 1 1/2 inches thick. It will continue for about 400 feet before dissipating.
-Bombs| packing large about of light into a small area, Zach can lob the grenade, causing a blast powerful enough to blast enemies back. The explosion has about a ten foot radius.
-Armor| By concentrating his stored light energy to the outside of his body, Photon can create an armor that will vaporize almost any projectile launched at him. While he will still the concussive blast, it will not cause very much, if any, injury.
-Blades| Zach is able to create blades of light-focused energy by swing his arms as if he is firing a beam, but folding his hands into a fist at the end of the movement. The blades will stay with him until he releases them.
Speed Running| Zach can sprint short distances at lightning fast speeds, but he has little control over his movements. He would have to slow down to go around a corner.
Light Absorption| Photon can absorb and store light in his body as a reserve, similar to a battery storing energy. However, should he run low on stored light, he will grow weak and eventually pass out. He runs out of light energy completely, he will pass out for several days. Being kept under a constant source of light, however, can help with a faster recovery.
Light healing| While being in sunlight of any type or a similar source, Zach can heal himself from minor injuries faster than usual. While he can heal others' cuts and wounds, it takes a lot more energy for him to do so. Most cuts and puncture wounds will heal almost immediately, but larger gashes can require several seconds to a few minutes to heal.
Photonic detonation| Zach's ultimate move. He releases all of his energy at once, creating an explosion capable of decimating a two block radius. However, in doing so, he will pass out for several days. He has very little control over this ability, but it only seems to happen during life or death situations, whether it be his life or that of an ally. While he can hold back the explosion temporarily, once it started, it begins a chain reaction.
Skills: Academics| Zach is skilled in math and science. He is also capable of building and repairing some electronics.
Gymnastics| Zach is really flexible thanks to several years of cheerleading and gymnastics. He is able to do flips, back hand springs, and other agile moves with ease.
Barbeque| Zach can grill and barbeque just about anything, but he loves to make steak, hamburgers, hotdogs, and a side to go with, usually corn bread or potato salad.
Gardening| Zach knows the best blend of fertilizer to soil ratio to grow crops that are big and juicy. He gladly shares the knowledge with anyone that wishes to know.
Shooting| While mainly just a hobby, it's one of his favorite activities. He can usually hit his target 7 times out of ten from a three hundred yard distance.
Combat| While Zach has been trained in a couple different fighting techniques, he prefers to use countering moves, focusing around the flexible and agile ones.
Mechanic| Spending so much time tinkering with one thing or another, Zach has learned to be able to repair a lot of equipment and motors.
Equipment: Multi-tool| Zach will usually carry a multi-tool pocket knife with him.
9 LED flashlight| A water-proof, hard cased flashlight, Zach carries this around with him, always making sure to keep it fully charged, in case he needs a boost of energy.
