Location: A New York Hospital
Aleigha waited for all of the teacher to go to bed. Tonight was a big night and she wasn't going to miss it, she had been planning this ever since she won her fifth race. Tonight a good amount of winning racers were going to race for the grand prize of a 100,000 dollars, and she was set on winning it. Sneaking out of her room the girl smirked as she looked around the halls and quietly made her way around the school until she came to the door. She walked right though the door and smiled as she saw headlights outside the gate of the school. Dashing down the walk and right though the gate she made her way up to the car opened the door to the car. "Clark, thanks for picking me up." The man smiled and nodded as he drove away from the school. "No Problem Leah." The ride was for some reason silent unlike normal. Most of the time Aleigha was talking Clark's head off but tonight she was starting to get nervous about racing.
The car stopped and Aleigha got out and made her way up to her car and smiled. She didn't have it at the car because she was a year to young to be driving but that never stopped her. Starting her up the car purred and sounded like normal. "I'll meet you at the strip." The girl told the boy as she drove away in her black beauty. Making her way up to the place where all the cars were waiting she got excited. Getting out of her car she walked up to the racers meeting to get the rules. Most people didn't follow the rules and so no one was really paying attention. Aleigha however followed the rules, because she didn't want anyone saying she used her Mutation to win a race.
Aleigha got many dirty looks and she knew that tonight was going to be one hell of a race. This only made her more excited, as she walked back to her car. "Aleigha, are you sure you can handle this? This isn't like the other small races, this one is, well bad things happen in big races like this Leah." Anderson one of Aleighas friends spoke up as she walked up to a group of boys. The girl smiled. "Anderson I'll be find, I'm a tough girl." The Russian said as she got in her car and drove up to the staring line of the race.
Other cars pulled up next to hers and the young girl got nervous but it never showed. The gun shot went off and the race was quite a blur. Lights dashed and all the cars were off and aleigha was shifting as fast as she could, keeping up with the others as they drove. Everything happened so fast. All she could hear was the screeching of her tiers and the horrible sound the metal made as it was crashed in to. It all happened so fast.
Aleigha opened her eyes as two men looked down at her. "Miss, can you hear me?" The girl just watched them, unable to respond to the man, it looked like he was a paramedic but she couldnt make out the name on his name tag, the girl closed her eyes and just wanted the pain to go away. She could feel pain all over her body but she couldnt make any noises to tell the men about the pain. The young Russian drifted back in to a slumber.
The next time the girl came to again she was in a bright white hall way and people were running, she wasn't real sure what was going on but she couldn't feel the pain anymore it was like she was just looking though someones eyes. they passed a desk and she could hear the nurse on the phone. "Mrs. Rasputin, I'm afraid your daughter was in a terrible accident." Aleigha wanted to get up and hang the phone up but she coudnt move, she just had to watch as they left the desk and went in to a room. The doctor turned on a radio and told the others to do something. The last thing the girl hurd was the start of a song she remembered.
I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night
He's gotta be strong, he's gotta be fast
And he's gotta be fresh from the fight
I need a hero
